Halloween II (TV Cut) (1981) 90m – Normally TV cuts just neuter the language, nudity and violence, but with Halloween II, a few scenes were added.  I watched this with my son, as this year was his first intro to Michael Myers.

Rating: 4 out of 5

Points: 2 Base Points

AVP (2004) 101m – This was hugely anticipated and was a pretty big letdown.  How can you make the movie where these franchises come together PG-13?

Rating: 2.5 out of 5

Points: 2 Base Points

The Conjuring (2013) 112m – I loved this movie.  It was creepy, scary and at times unsettling.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5

Points: 3 – 2 Base Points plus murder of a child.

Pumpkinhead (1988) 86m – This is a Halloween tradition in our house.  Great, underrated movie.

Rating: 4 out of 5

Points: 3 – 2 Base Points plus murder of a child

The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) 75m – My favorite Universal classic, I could watch this once  a week.

Rating: 5 out of 5

Points: 2 Base Points

Trick ‘r Treat (2007) 82m – I can’t believe the trouble this movie had getting distribution.  It’s quickly become a Halloween classic and has a recently announced sequel.

Rating: 5 out of 5

Points: 3 – 2 Base Points plus murder of a child

The Lords of Salem (2012) 101m – I was pretty critical of this after seeing it the first time.  I gave it a second watch, and while I still didn’t love it, it was better than I remembered.  Oddly enough, this tends to happen with all of Zombie’s movies for me.

Rating: 3 out of 5

Points: 4 – 2 Base Points plus murder of a child and full frontal nudity

The Walking Dead; Isolation (S4E3) 60m – What a reveal this week!

Rating: 5 out of 5 walkers

Points: 2 – 1 Base Point, plus 1 for Eye Gouging (a couple of zombies take a shot/stab to the eye)
