Week 2 saw a significant dip in viewing as I was gone for work for 4 days.  Next week will be better!

Contamination (1980) 95m – Clearly inspired by Alien with its Alien eggs. Lots of exploding body parts, but a pretty bland story.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 Alien eggs

Nasty worthiness? Borderline.  Lots of gore, but pretty fake looking. Nothing to disturbing to be honest.

Points: 6 – British Video Nasty List – ATB

Cannibal Holocaust (1980) 96m – This notorious found footage film is probably the most well known movie in its subgenre.  Director Ruggero Deodato found himself in court more than once due to this movie.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Cannibals

Nasty Worthiness? Yes, it’s pretty high on the list for me. The violence is graphic and add in the fact that there is on screen animal cruelty and it makes some of the other entries look pretty tame.

Points: 6 – British Video Nasty List – ATB

Cannibal Ferox (1981) 93m – A small group is in the Amazon to prove that cannibalism is a myth.  That’s like going into the basement to see why the lights went out.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Cannibals

Nasty Worthiness?  Yes, for many of the same reasons as most Cannibal movies.

Points: 6 – British Video Nasty List – ATB

Blood for Dracula (1974) 103m – Dracula is on the prowl for Virgin (or “wirgin” if you go by Udo Kier’s accent).

Rating: 3 out of 5 Wirgins

Points: 6 – This week’s Twitter bonus movie – ATB

Pacific Rim (2013) 132m – Giant monsters vs giant robots.  That should be enough said right there.

Rating 5 out of 5 Jaegers.

Points: 3 – 2 Base Points plus 1 Bonus point for taking place on an island (Tokyo, Japan)

The Walking Dead; 30 Days Without an Accident (S4E1) 60m – So glad that this is back on.  I’m interested to see what happens this season.

Rating: 5 out of 5 walkers

Points: 2 – 1 Base Point, plus 1 for Eye Gouging (a couple of zombies take a shot/stab to the eye)

Grimm; Face Off (S2 E13) 60m – Interesting turn as Nick collaborates with an unlikely source.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Wesen

Points: 1 – Base points only
